Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker is our Week 7 A.O. Smith Hot Water Hot Performer!
In a week of great performances by Golden Arm candidates, Tennessee’s Hendon Hooker stood out as the A.O. Smith Hot Water Hot Performer for week 7. Hooker led the sixth-ranked Volunteers to a 52-49 last-second upset of number three Alabama in a wild SEC game in Knoxville.
After Alabama missed a field goal that would have put them ahead by three points with 15 seconds left in the game, Tennessee took over at their own 33. Hooker completed passes of 18 and 27 yards as Tennessee drove to the Tide 23, where they scored on a field goal as time expired for the 52-49 win.
Against the Crimson Tide, Hooker completed 21 of 30 passes (70%), for 385 yards and five touchdowns. For the season, Hooker is 119 for 170 (70%), for 1,817 yards and 18 touchdowns.
The undefeated Volunteers (6-0) next host UT-Martin on October 22.
